It is a rich vein: rather too rich - I did not set out to post 38 pictures, but how can you choose just one of the hats in 42nd Street? how can you have too many pictures of Warren William, anywhere? Once you get started, you know... Here, then, are 10 things I love about old movies - illustrated to a fault...
1. Hats
2. Credit sequences using footage of the actors.
3. Warren William!
4. Rear projection, painted backdrops, and models.
5. Tinting.
6. Trains - and movies named after trains.
7. Telephones.
8. Hard bitten reporters
9. Hotels, hotel rooms, hotel dicks, room service...
10. Ocean Liners and freighters...
Etc....

You've got some great items on your list, and the pictures to back them up. Not too many of us on this conga line thought to do that. Thanks for joining in.
It's a really fun idea... the Siren has pictures, that set me on the way, but once I started I couldn't stop - how can I choose? It's hard enough stopping, though the DVD collection helps there no Lee Tracy, somehow, or he'd have been in there.... along with old cars with running boards and rumble seats, tropical hotels and their balconies and ceiling fans, golf, etc...

Re #8 - I need more Capra films - do any of his films not have hard-bitten reporters?
